Eat & Drink

Our aim, as a Freehouse, is to provide traditional Pub Classics and daily specials which continually change to make use of locally sourced seasonal produce. We are constantly looking for interesting and varied dishes so any suggestions will always be welcome. Included on our winter specials we will be featuring several varieties of pies made by our award winning chef.

The Farmer’s Sunday lunch always offers a choice of three meats, fresh vegetables and goose fat roast potatoes. We also offer a homemade vegetarian option and can cater for gluten free and other requirements, just ask us. We strongly advise you book to avoid disappointment.

We serve popular local beers such as Harvey’s, Long Man, Gun Brewery as well as interesting guest ales. These, along with popular national beers and lagers, such as Guinness and Heineken, are kept in tip top condition in our state of the art cellar. We also believe in serving quality wines at a fair and competitive price, by the glass as well as by the bottle.

Events

From monthly quiz nights, weekly pool nights and dart nights to wine tasting, we host a variety of interesting and fun events. With offers & festive meals in Winter, to an outside bar, live music and barbecues in Summer – there’s something for everyone.

Families

We feel strongly that we uphold the traditions of an English country pub. As a privately owned family run establishment we welcome locals, families, dog walkers, couples and everybody! We have disabled access and a disabled loo for those customers needing easy access.

Our large garden and play area, which we believe is the biggest in Sussex, cleverly provides family fun where children can be watched over as well as more secluded areas.

On sunny summer weekends we offer an outside bar, live music and barbecues. We also have an outside ice-cream shack which is always a favourite with the children.
